Kimble, a Group 1 winner as a two-year-old, continues to thrive under the care of Pinjarra trainer Michael George, and he showed that there are more wins in store when he scored a decisive victory in the 2130m Coco, Zu And The Animal Pace at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Kimble, the $1.20 favourite from barrier two, led for the first 200m before he was crossed by the speedy $41 outsider Regal Cheval, who charged forward from barrier seven. However, Gary Hall Jnr was quick to regain the ascendancy by sending Kimble to the front 150m later.

After a smart lead time of 36.9sec. Kimble relaxed with an opening quarter of the final mile in 31.9sec. before he covered the next 400m sections in 29.9sec., 28.7sec. and 28.8sec. to win by 4m from $31 chance Musztang, who fought on strongly after racing in the breeze.

Kimble, who won the Group 1 Vicbred Super Series final for two-year-old colts and geldings at Melton in December 2020, has earned $234,038 from 13 wins and 20 placings. After seven wins in Victoria Kimble has raced 26 times in WA for six wins and six placings.

He is by American sire Western Terror and is the first foal out of the Bettors Delight mare Im Wrongly Accused, who had 14 starts for three wins, six placings and $36,917.
