Emily Suvaljko enjoyed driving Adda Spoilt Major for the first time when she guided him to a smart all-the-way victory in the 2130m Entertainment With Horsepower Pace at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Suvaljko made sure that Adda Spoilt Major was given every opportunity to make the most of his predilection for setting the pace by getting the WA-bred six-year-old away to a flying start from the coveted No. 1 barrier.

After a modest lead time of 37.7sec. Adda Spoilt Major relaxed and ambled through the opening quarter of the final mile in 32.1sec. This was followed by quarters of 30sec., 28.4sec. and 28.2sec.

Adda Spoilt Major, a $6.80 chance, won by a length from the fast-finishing $41 outsider Feeling Aces, with Flying Rumour ($6.50) an unlucky third after trailing the leader all the way and being badly blocked for a clear passage in the home straight.

Paul Edward, the $2.25 favourite, finished last in the field of nine. He raced in sixth position, one-out and two-back, before starting a three-wide move 600m from home and then being forced out four wide soon afterwards. After the race it was discovered that he was lame in the off foreleg.

Adda Spoilt Major is trained at Wooroloo by Jan Milentis, who races the Rich And Spoilt gelding in partnership with Peter Johnson.

Adda Spoilt Major has given Milentis all of her six winners in a brief career as a trainer. Four of those wins were gained when leading. He has had 35 starts for Milentis for six wins and nine placings, taking his overall record to 75 starts for nine wins, 23 placings and stakes of $93,279.
