Alta Christiano filly Wall Street Girl is poised for a powerful performance when she makes her city debut in the 1730m Retravision Pace for two-year-olds at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Prepared by Debra Lewis, Wall Street Girl will start from barrier five, with champion reinsman Chris Lewis upbeat about her prospects.

“She has never seen Gloucester Park, and we’ll see how she goes,” said Lewis. “It’s her first run in the city and all is going forward. She’s got her chance here. She is versatile; she can lead, sit and sprint or breeze.”

Wall Street’s first eight starts have been confined to Pinjarra and Bunbury, and she has struck top form with decisive victories at Pinjarra at her two most recent performances.

She made most of the running when she won from Hokulani over 2185m before she started from barrier No. 6 and raced in the breeze for much of the way before scoring by more than four lengths from Path Of Gold, rating 1.56 over 1684m, with a final 400m in 27.9sec.

Also making her city debut will be the Rich And Spoilt filly Never Forget Adda, who made a successful debut for trainer Kim Young when his daughter Madeliene drove her to an easy all-the-way victory over Follow The Ark over 1823m at Narrogin last Friday week. Young’s other daughter Jocelyn will be in the sulky on Friday night.

Bunbury trainer Sarah Wall holds an important part in the race, with her fillies Make Your Mark (Emily Suvaljko) and Dontbesillychilli (Dylan Egerton-Green) in fine form and having solid winning prospects.

Both fillies have won and been placed at Gloucester Park in recent weeks and look set to fight out the finish.
