Gloucester Park is joining the harness racing community through the month of February in supporting Team Teal and WomenCan.
Team Teal is raising awareness and vital funds for programs like Survivors Teaching Students, where women share their personal experiences with future healthcare professionals, shaping better care and early diagnosis.
Over the past four years, the Survivors Teaching Students program has doubled its research and reached over 20,000 medical students. The funds provide support for patients to access gynecological cancer clinical trials, particularly in regional and remote areas, ensuring women have access to the best available care irrespective of where they live.
Along with the female drivers wearing Teal pants and a set of the Team Teal silks in races to raise awareness, Gloucester Park is conducting a raffle with tickets $10 each and the first prize being a table for 6 guests in the Beau Rivage including a deluxe dining and beverage package on TABtouch Nullarbor night plus a table for 6 guests in the TABtouch Punters Club the following week also in the Beau Rivage restaurant. The first prize totals over $2,000.
Tickets are available at Gloucester Park reception.

Team Teal History
The Team Teal campaign was created by Duncan McPherson OAM who lost his wife Lyn to ovarian cancer in 2010. In failing health, Lyn began fundraising for ovarian cancer research, an initiative that Duncan connected with his passion for harness racing, co-founding Team Teal with fellow owners and trainers, Michael Taranto and Jim Connolly.
The campaign expanded from harness racing in Victoria to New South Wales in 2016, to harness racing in all Australian states in 2017 and internationally to harness racing in New Zealand in 2018.
WomenCan aims to extend the Team Teal campaign to run throughout the year with other sporting codes.
Your support is crucial for improving treatments and saving Australian women’s lives.”
